Artifex was hired by the City of Caribou in 2017 to assist in planning and design of a new public safety facility. Initially, an assessment of the existing Police Department was completed, followed by programming and conceptual design for a new facility. After being retained in 2019 for further project development, we brought on our Public Safety Consultant, Manns Woordward Studios, to provide refined programming and design recommendations.  The approved concept design was used to inform citizens about the project and to garner voter approval.

As part of this effort, Several sites and buildings were reviewed for suitability, with the chosen site allowing for future expansion of a police station into a full Public Safety Building. Our team provided renderings and conceptual floor plans to the City and prepared a feasibility report for the City’s use in acquiring funding. The project is currently in the Design Development Phase and is expected to begin construction in 2024.
